The girl who always laughed the loudest and smiled the most was always the one subjected by suspicion; there could be no way that an Earthly living being could never be troubled by life's and the world's flow.
There could be someone you know that is like this as you read this but they may seem happy and blessed but their world is completely different. One we'd likely never understand or likely believe.
This is the story of a girl...
"Ichi, why don't you believe in things like miracles, gifts, luck, etc?" Whispered a curious voice from the dark tent next to where upon a young boy had set-up not so neatly done makeshift tent on the barren but thriving leafy and dirt forest floor. Ichi thought about how-to explain this to someone who he only come across randomly in the forest, at first he thought she was part of a camping party who had gotten lost or maybe a hiker but she claimed to be nothing of the sort plus she seemed to have no knowledge of modern human civilization. Finally after a quiet cricket screaming minutes he whispered back, "You just don't get lucky or anything in this world, I've seen a lot and it's all just... Explainable by science. If there was a God or something don't you think he'd never let us feel sad or stop the over-fishing of the seas?" And with that he rolled over in his brown sleeping bag hoping that'd at least have given the girl something to think about.
For the rest of the night the girl was quiet and seemed to have slept since there were no more questions and Ichi was able to sleep, he had asked for her name but she had told him she didn't have one. "How could someone not have a name?" He thought, sighing he got up out of his sleeping bag, rolled it back up, along with the tent materials he packed it. He noticed the girl's tent was already packed up, laying against a tree but she wasn't around, he didn't know where she could've gone so he walked a perimeter around the camp site looking for her then returned to the site. Still the pack laid there so he concluded she had taken off and had gotten lost; he groaned again, placing his hand upon his walking stick heading towards the nearest sounds of water hoping she would've head that way.
As he neared the small stream he heard the strangest noises; they sounded like noise of a snake or at least some reptile but much larger. He moved behind a small boulder to look upon the stream before he made his entry and what he saw before was unexplainable...
The girl he had camped and shared food with was rinsing the scales of a huge lizard that could only be known as a dragon yet she didn't even seem scared. All that Ichi had heard of Dragons was they ate virgins and terrorized places so knights were supposed to kill them but this Dragon was not showing even the slightest bit hostility towards the girl; infact it was sleeping soundly. How on Earth could this be? And weren't Dragons not supposed to be real or extinct? For an hour or so Ichi watched this bath of the Dragon go on yet suddenly the Dragon disappeared in silky smoke like as if it was just a large mist all that remained was the girl, slowly Ichi stepped forward, out from behind the boulder, and towards the girl.
Rather than admitting to her that he was spying on her and ask her all the questions he wanted he decided he would wait until she answered them when she was comfortable. The girl smiled when she saw him, opening her arms and spinning around in the stream as if to say, "Isn't today a beautiful day?" He smiled back and came forth to the stream only to look up at her more then ask, "What is your name?"
She looked down at him kneeling while he washed his face and she pointed to the sky, "My name in your tongue is Kellswater of the Highlands. I have come here in search of others like me."
